I’m thinking of buying a luxury holiday home in Cornwall set on a Woodland Estate. The aim is to live there for about 3 months a year and rent it out for the rest of the year. What sort of percentage return on my investment would be deemed “good” ?

My husband and I are getting ready to list our house for sale, and are getting it ready to stage. Before I buy items for the house (like artwork, plants, candles, etc.), I was needing to know if these items are expected to stay with the house or will we be able to take them with us? Also, any ideas for staging the house would be quite helpful. We have already decluttered everything, taking down all personal pictures, magnets, etc. We have painted everything neutral and cleaned it up inside and out.
I want to spend Christmas and New Year’s in New York and really love to ice skate. I want to stay in a good hotel near Rockerfeller Plaza & when that’s too crowded I’ll get a taxi or train to other rinks. As I’ve not traveled there before, I’m having trouble even coming up with names of good hotels to research on the web. Any suggestions with a $350 – $600 per night budget?

FEMA had to many new trailor homes built for Katrina. Now they have to get rid of them. Instead of selling them. They are putting them on indian reservations. I do not think this is fair. Those on the reservations are already taken care of with housing and shelter. They chose not to take care of their homes. I have toured reservations and watch indians remove the front doors and windows and sell them for money. And now we are giving them bran new trailor homes. So they can destroy them, tair them apart and sell the doors and windows.
I am not predijuce. I think we have done enough for the native americans. They need to stand on their own to feet and take care of themselves. When will we stop giving them handouts. They get free housing, free goverment food. They do not have to work if they so choose. They make millions on casinos if they choose. Yet amerians can own casinos. I think the trailors should be put up as low income housing for poor families and the homeless, and you?

I’ve found that even after all the painting and decoration and accessories, my kids’ rooms don’t look much like those in interior decor books. I am talking about the books with simple ideas for regular people on an average budget.
The kids and I decorate/plan together, and we are very happy with the end results, but the rooms just look ordinary.
So, does your kid’s room look like those in magazines and interior decor books? Or, does it look nice but “ordinary”?

Can as many people as possible please tell me how much their luxury bath system was. I want an average price and can’t find it anywhere on the net. I know that bathrooms are different and it depends on the work done. I just want some idea from as many consumers as possible. Thank you! If you used re-bath or bathfitters you can throw those in too, although I WONT deal with bathfitters.
